Materials.AI is powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT technology through an API integration with Fictiv's digital manufacturing platform and is extensively trained on Fictiv's manufacturing data and offerings. With rapid advances in material science and manufacturing technologies such as 3D printing, it can be confusing and time-consuming for engineers to navigate the different material options available to them.
