Nationally, French Bulldog Holds On To The Top Spot

NEW YORK, March 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- For the sixth consecutive year, the French Bulldog has taken Miami's top spot in the American Kennel Club's (AKC^®) 2023 ranking of the most popular AKC-recognized dog breeds in the U.S.

The French Bulldog was also recognized as the #1 pup in Houston, TX and Los Angeles, CA.

The Cane Corso saw a lot of attention this year, jumping up six spots in the ranks from #23 in 2022 to #15 in 2023.

"It is no surprise French Bulldogs kept their number one spot for the second year in a row," said AKC Executive Secretary Gina DiNardo.  "This family friendly breed makes for a great companion."
