EWTN Announces Retirement of President Doug Keck

Long-time President and Chief Operating Officer of EWTN steps down from administrative duties after storied career launching initiatives at the global media apostolate.

IRONDALE, Ala., June 26, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- EWTN Global Catholic Network announced a change in the leadership of the Catholic media organization. Effective June 30, 2025, Doug Keck will retire from his administrative duties as President and Chief Operating Officer of EWTN and will step down from the EWTN Board of Governors.

Mr. Keck's 29-year career at EWTN saw the evolution of the network and witnessed the passing of its foundress, Mother Angelica, in 2016.

Doug joined EWTN in 1996 after a lengthy career in cable television, sports, and media in New York. He started at EWTN in production and operations, overseeing the development of numerous marquee shows and program concepts over the years, including Life on the Rock, The Journey Home, Father Spitzer's Universe, and EWTN Bookmark, as well as The World Over, the catalyst for today's broader offerings of EWTN News.

He was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2009. In 2013, he was named to the role of President & Chief Operating Officer.
