DIRECTV Launches Dedicated Military Makeover Channel

Beginning Sept. 22 on MyFree DIRECTV, the new 24/7 FAST channel will feature 44 seasons of the inspirational series

DIRECTV will also sponsor the Weatherholt Family featured in Season 46

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DIRECTV today announced the launch of a new 24/7 FAST channel dedicated to Military Makeover with Montel®, a BrandStar original series featuring more than 200 episodes spanning 44 seasons, premiering Sept. 22 to DIRECTV customers.

The new channel, rolling out today to DIRECTV streaming customers through MyFree DIRECTV, DIRECTV Genre Packs and Signature streaming packages, will feature 44 existing seasons and future seasons. It advances DIRECTV's broader FAST strategy of working with programmers to transform compelling content libraries into dedicated viewing destinations.

Led by Navy veteran and military advocate Montel Williams, the series celebrates military members and their families through life-changing home transformations, while shining a light on the challenges many veterans face when they return home. Each 30-minute episode brings together decorators, designers, landscapers, home renovation experts and brand partners to transform the home of a selected military family.

Season 46 Featuring the Weatherholt Family

As part of its continued commitment to the series and the military community, DIRECTV will support the Weatherholt family of Jupiter, Florida, featured in Season 46 of Military Makeover. William "Billy" Weatherholt enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at age 17 following September 11 and served as a firefighter EMT during two overseas deployments. Today, he continues serving his South Florida community as a firefighter and paramedic. Billy, alongside his wife, Autum, and daughter, Tatum, will receive a full home transformation.

DIRECTV will be featured in a 2-to-3-minute segment of the upcoming season as part of the Weatherholt family's Season 46 makeover.
