Crowell & Moring Elects New Chair

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Crowell & Moring today announced that Glen McGorty, a member of the firm's Management Board and Executive Committee, Chair of the Litigation and Trial Department, and managing partner of its New York office, has been elected by the partnership to be the next chair of the firm's Management Board. His three-year term will begin March 1, 2027. McGorty will be the first chair in the firm's history to be based outside of Washington, D.C.

McGorty will succeed the current chair of Crowell's Management Board, Phil Inglima, who has served in the role for the past nine years. During this period, the firm has expanded significantly, investing strategically in practices and markets in the U.S. and internationally which align with clients' evolving business needs, while prioritizing client value, partnership, and service excellence. McGorty is an accomplished, Chambers-ranked trial lawyer who joined Crowell's White Collar and Regulatory Enforcement practice in 2012 after 15 years as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. He represents global institutions and individuals, guiding clients through government investigations, "bet-the-company" enforcement actions, and high-profile criminal prosecutions. As a reflection of his significant experience navigating complex matters, McGorty has served as a Court-appointed federal monitor. Under McGorty's leadership, the firm's New York office has expanded significantly through high profile additions and strategic combinations that have broadened the firm's capabilities in one of the world's most competitive legal markets.
