Cows Part Ways With Head Coach Ed Corporal

The Flying Cows are parting ways with the veteran coach as the organization plans its next chapter.

FREDERICK, Md., July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Frederick Flying Cows are not renewing Head Coach Ed Corporal's contract following the conclusion of the 2025 season. The franchise thanks Coach Corporal for leading the team to winning seasons in the organization's first two years. The Flying Cows believe it is the right time to pursue new opportunities while reflecting proudly on what was accomplished together.

Coach Corporal brought a wealth of experience and leadership to the Flying Cows organization. A longtime figure in The Basketball League (TBL), he has been part of the league since its inception and has achieved a winning season each year as a head coach. His resume includes being named TBL Coach of the Year and TBL Champion in 2021.

In 2024, he helped launch the Flying Cows' inaugural season, guiding the team to a 20-6 record and capturing the Atlantic Northeast Division title. In 2025, the Cows improved to 25-6 and were crowned Mid-Atlantic Division and Southeastern Conference champions, ultimately reaching the TBL Final Four—an impressive feat for a second-year franchise.

Coach Corporal's leadership was instrumental in establishing a strong foundation and competitive identity for the organization. His commitment to the team's growth, both on and off the court, helped turn a brand-new franchise into one of the top programs in the league in just two seasons.

The Flying Cows are grateful for his contributions. As the organization prepares for the 2026 season, it does so with appreciation for the past and optimism for the future.
