Covalent Metrology Welcomes Richard Gottscho as Board Member

Dr. Gottscho brings extensive leadership experience in semiconductor technology and materials science, further strengthening Covalent's mission to revolutionize advanced analytical services for R&D and manufacturing.

Dr. Gottscho is widely recognized for playing a key role in building Lam Research into a global leader in semiconductor equipment design and manufacturing. He held key leadership positions at Lam over a distinguished tenure of nearly 30 years at the company, including EVP of the Global Products Group (2009 to 2017) and EVP and Chief Technology Officer (2017 to 2023). Dr. Gottscho received his PhD in Physical Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories for 15 years in various capacities before joining Lam Research in 1996. His expertise in metrology, plasma etching, and thin-film processing has been instrumental in shaping semiconductor manufacturing.

Dr. Gottscho announced that he will be formally retiring from Lam Research on March 10, 2025.
