Cousins Maine Lobster Expanding to Springfield-Peoria with Grand Opening February 15th

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine, Feb. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Local seafood lovers will be excited to hear that Cousins Maine Lobster will be expanding their reach from Chicago into Central Illinois with the launch of their first Springfield-Peoria food truck. The iconic food truck brand, made famous as one of the top five all-time investments on Shark Tank, will be serving up Maine's most coveted comfort foods, including their famous warm and buttery wild-caught lobster rolls, savory New England clam chowder, and fan favorites like lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese and even loaded lobster tots!

The expansion is led by CML franchisees and brothers, Yunus and Thameem Shahul, who opened their first truck in Chicago, IL in February 2024. They will now operate 6 trucks in the state with the expansion into Central IL. In total, the Shahul's now have more than 20 units open and operating across multiple territories. As top Operators, they have demonstrated their dedication to delivering the highest quality Maine lobster and exceptional service to all of their guests.
