Chubb Names Sean Ringsted Chief Scientist and Executive Vice President, Chubb Group

Ringsted to focus on artificial intelligence, data and analytics strategies across the company

ZURICH, Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Chubb Limited (NYSE: CB) today announced that Sean Ringsted has been named Chief Scientist and Executive Vice President, Chubb Group, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Ringsted will focus on and have responsibility for the company's artificial intelligence, data and analytics strategy and initiatives worldwide.

Ringsted brings more than three decades of experience and a long record of accomplishments at Chubb and its predecessor, ACE Group. His experience spans risk, digital transformation, analytics and actuarial leadership. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and Chief Digital Business Officer and has led the company's AI efforts globally. In this role, Sean formed and led the successful profitable growth of the company's digital business unit. Additionally, Sean has been central in directing how Chubb uses data and analytics to drive decision-making across the company.

Ringsted previously served as Chubb's Chief Risk Officer from 2008 until 2023 and additionally, was named Chief Digital Officer in 2017. Earlier in his career, Ringsted held the roles of Chief Actuary from 2004 to 2017, Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for ACE Tempest Re from 2002 to 2004, and Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary for ACE Tempest Re from 1998 to 2002. Prior to joining ACE, he was a consultant at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin.

Ringsted holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Bristol University and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Biochemistry from Oxford University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA).
