Harrow brings decades of leadership experience across banking, insurance, and nonprofit sectors

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., May 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Choice Financial Group ("CFG"), one of the fastest-growing insurance brokerages in the United States, is delighted to welcome Joe Harrow as Executive Vice President – Mid-Atlantic. In this newly established role, Harrow will focus on talent development, mergers & acquisitions, market relationships, and driving growth throughout the region, with an early focus on Maryland, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Raised in Deltaville, Virginia, Harrow is a 1986 graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. He began his career in banking as a Private Banker within the predecessor institutions of Bank of America and Truist. In 1994, he transitioned into the insurance industry, founding Mid-Penn Insurance in Williamsburg, Virginia, which he led until its acquisition by TowneBank in 2018. Following the acquisition, Harrow served as President of Towne's Virginia Market until 2022.

Since 2022, Harrow has served as Chief Development Officer and Risk Manager for VersAbility Resources, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in leading full and productive lives of their choosing.

A resident of Williamsburg, Virginia for over 40 years, Harrow and his wife Leanne remain deeply involved in the local nonprofit community.
