COALESCE, LLC DBA BENEFITELECT PROVIDES NOTICE OF DATA EVENT

PHOENIX, Oct. 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Coalesce, LLC dba Benefitelect ("BenefitElect") is providing notice of a data event. 

What Happened? On April 2, 2025, BenefitElect became aware of potentially suspicious activity within certain systems in our computer network. Upon learning of the activity, we responded quickly to review and secure our systems and, with the assistance of external cybersecurity specialists, began a comprehensive investigation to confirm the full nature, scope, and impact of the activity. Through the investigation, we determined the activity was the result of a Crush FTP vulnerability and an unauthorized actor likely copied files from a BenefitElect system between March 30, 2025, and March 31, 2025. BenefitElect then undertook a time-intensive review of the impacted data with the assistance of additional data privacy specialists to identify the individuals whose information may have been impacted. Impacted individuals will be mailed letters with information about this event. To date, BenefitElect is not aware of any actual or attempted misuse of information.

The impacted information included benefits eligibility and onboarding census information such as names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.

BenefitElect takes the confidentiality, privacy, and security of information in its care seriously. Upon discovery, BenefitElect immediately undertook mitigation measures and commenced an investigation to confirm the nature and scope of the incident. BenefitElect will continue to review its already robust security policies, procedures, and tools as part of its ongoing commitment to information security.
