TickTalk 6: New Hardware, Smarter Software, Same Mission — A Phone Alternative Built for Kids

The all-new TickTalk 6 is the solution to everyday family life designed to keep parents and kids connected through every drop-off, pickup, and after-school moment.

BREA, Calif., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TickTalk, a leading kids' smartwatch and family communication platform, celebrates its 10 years of innovation with the launch of TickTalk 6, its next-generation connected smartwatch designed for children ages 3 to 12.

Built for families navigating the first-device decision, TickTalk 6 gives kids more independence without handing them the full digital world of a smartphone. More than a smartwatch, TickTalk 6 serves as the center of TickTalk's most complete family ecosystem yet– all without games, social media or open internet access.

"Parents shouldn't have to choose between keeping their child connected and giving them an entire smartphone ecosystem," said Ying Gong, CEO of TickTalk Tech. "TickTalk 6 is our answer to that first-device dilemma. It gives kids more ways to communicate, more tools to build independence and build healthy daily habits, and more age-appropriate experiences, while giving parents meaningful control over who can reach their child, where they are, what they can access, and when."

Key Features of TickTalk 6:

• Expanded Communication Tools: Features voice calling, FaceTalk™ video calling, Group Chat, Real SMS (allowing standard text messaging with approved contacts without requiring the app), and category-first TickTalkie™ LTE/Wi-Fi walkie-talkie communication.
• Advanced Location & Emergency Safety: Combines Real-Time Location Tracking, History Route, AI SmartPin™ location learning, SOS emergency calling, and 911 emergency support.
• All-in-One Control Center: The redesigned TickTalk App allows parents to manage approved contacts, block unknown callers, configure School Mode and Focus settings, schedule Reminders, oversee wireless plans, set audio preferences and manage TickTalk Radio™ content and usage.
• TickTalk Radio™: A first-of-its-kind, parent-controlled music and wellness experience for ages 3 to 12. Built in partnership with Feed.fm, music content is curated by age, while parents can preview stations, control access, and set listening limits. Focus Mode limits listening to wellness content like calm, sleep, focus, and mindfulness. Curated by Age. Filtered by You. Made for Kids.
• Global Connectivity & Cloud Migration: Offers built-in eSIM activation through TickTalk Wireless™, optional global travel coverage across 160+ countries and regions, and free T-Cloud™ backup for effortless device upgrades and data transfer.
• Upgraded Hardware: Next-generation design and hardware features a slimmer, lighter body with a vivid 1.6-inch AMOLED display, SignalBooster™ 2.0 antenna technology, IP68 water resistance, up to 135 hours of standby time, and a new kid-friendly, stretch-fit and washable band, providing all-day comfort for everyday adventures. Bands are available in four fun colors: Pacific Teal, Sunshine Yellow, Coral Pink, and Black Sand.

A Complete Family Ecosystem for Peace of Mind

The new generation brings together voice calling, FaceTalk™ video calling, Real SMS, Group Chat, and TickTalkie™ LTE/Wi-Fi walkie-talkie communication, alongside advanced location and safety tools—all without games, social media, or open internet access.
