Aventon Companies Names Jeff Furman as Senior Managing Director

The Multifamily Industry Expert Will Oversee the Firm's North Carolina Operations

RALEIGH, N.C., March 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Aventon Companies, a prominent multifamily developer and general contractor with active projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, announces the addition of Jeff Furman as Senior Managing Director. Furman, who has more than 20 years of experience in the multifamily sector, will focus on Aventon Companies' fast-paced growth throughout North Carolina where he will acquire new sites for suburban apartment communities while managing existing developments.

Furman, who has built a long and storied career in the state, will concentrate on the Raleigh-Durham and greater Charlotte metro areas in his new role. Before joining Aventon Companies, he led teams that developed over 10,000 Class A multifamily units and over 2,000,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and office space across the Southeastern U.S. Most recently, Furman spent 14 years as the Development Partner and Director of Raleigh Operations at Northwood Ravin. Prior to that, he served as Director of Development for Crosland, LLC.

Highly educated, Furman graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer of North Carolina (PENC) as well as a North Carolina real estate broker-in-charge (BIC). Notably, Furman also spent part of his career in the United States Navy, serving as an active-duty officer for seven years.
