Americas Cardroom to Turn On ScreenShield for All Players November 4

Default-on table protection will remain player-controlled for legitimate streaming and recording needs.

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica, Oct. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Americas Cardroom players will have ScreenShield activated by default beginning November 4 as Winning Poker Network expands the table-protection feature across its player base. ScreenShield blocks protected poker-table content from the screen-capture and screen-sharing methods the technology covers while players continue to see and play normally.

Players will retain control. ScreenShield will appear in the client and on its dedicated Settings page. Anyone who intentionally needs capture functionality for streaming, session recording, coaching or content creation can turn the feature off themselves.

The network is also evaluating a broader policy that could prohibit third-party software from being used alongside the WPN poker client. No final policy has been adopted, and the review is focused on whether additional restrictions could reduce security and Game Integrity risks without unnecessarily disrupting legitimate use cases.

The November 4 rollout follows a Game Integrity review prompted by concerns around remote-access software. WPN reviewed more than 2,000,000 hands from players whose devices had MeshAgent detected and found no evidence that any player was using hole-card knowledge on the network.

That review included approximately 200,000 hands played by Paul Gregg, who had been identified publicly by members of the high-stakes community. WPN found no evidence that Gregg could see another player's hole cards or used hole-card knowledge while playing on WPN.

WPN separately closed Gregg's account after gathering broader information during its investigation and through communication with other online poker operators. The account decision was a separate Game Integrity and risk-management determination and was not a finding that hole cards had been seen on WPN.

WPN has also shared information with other online poker operators on how this type of ScreenShield protection can be implemented.
