ALSANA APPOINTS KEESHA AMEZCUA, LMFT, CEDS-C AS NEW CHIEF CLINICAL OFFICER

An internationally recognized industry leader brings 20 of experience to Alsana's eating recovery community.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Alsana, an eating recovery community with in-person and virtual treatment programs, has appointed Keesha Amezcua, MA, LMFT, CEDS-C as its new chief clinical officer. With 20 years of eating disorder treatment experience, Amezcua brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the organization. In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to books, articles and media on eating disorder recovery and is a frequent speaker at national conferences. She is speaking at this year's International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals' National Conference on ADHD and eating disorders entitled "ADHD, It Takes a Village: A Panel Discussion."  

Amezcua will lead all aspects of Alsana's clinical care, client experience, treatment outcomes, Adaptive Care Model^®, program development, and training for clinical teams.

Amezcua brings extensive clinical leadership experience over all levels of care for both adolescents and adults previously serving as Vice President of Clinical Programming for Monte Nido & Affiliates. Amezcua, in her previous role, oversaw care delivery, clinical outcomes and staff training nationally during periods of high growth. In addition, she has international program development experience contributing to Wandi Nerida, Australia's first residential eating disorder treatment center.

Amezcua is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Consultant (CEDS-C), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, Texas and Oregon, and a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF). She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Prior to entering the mental health field, she graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and worked in magazine editorial, television production, and marketing and advertising.
