Meet the New Attorneys

Dara Polakoff

Dara Polakoff joins Albers & Associates as an associate attorney with robust experience in criminal, civil, and family law matters. A graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, cum laude, Dara earned distinction on the Moot Court Board and gained valuable courtroom experience while competing in national competitions. She also worked in the University of Baltimore Tax Clinic, representing low-income clients before the IRS and the Maryland Comptroller. This experience affirmed her dedication to access to justice.

Since admission to the Maryland Bar in 2019, Dara has built a reputation for strong advocacy, thorough preparation, and a client-centered approach. Her wide-ranging background and presence in the courtroom make her a valuable addition to the firm's family law team.

Dan Farlow

Dan Farlow joins Albers & Associates as senior associate attorney, bringing over 25 years of experience in Maryland family law. He has extensive courtroom experience across District, Circuit, and Appellate Courts, handling complex cases involving custody, alimony, child support, and juvenile matters. Dan is recognized for guiding families through difficult situations involving addiction, mental health, and state intervention, with deep knowledge of related systems like law enforcement and social services. He is also skilled in working with diverse clients, including self-represented and multilingual parties, and is known for his expertise in complex child support calculations.

In addition to his practice, Dan contributes as an educator, having co-presented on child estrangement and alienation at the Judicial College of Maryland.

Kayla Delpo

Kayla joins Albers & Associates as an associate attorney whose practice is grounded in communication and transparency. Specializing in family law, Kayla has worked on cases ranging from divorce, highly contested custody matters, guardianships, and peace/protective orders. Kayla received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Forensic Studies from Stevenson University. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law with a concentration in Women and Gender Studies.

Prior to the firm, Kayla worked for the Department of Children and Families for the State of Florida. There she advocated for survivors of child abuse and assisted in over 200 cases. Additionally, Kayla worked for a large family firm, honing her skills in family law prior to joining Albers & Associates.
