ABQAURP is Awarded Joint Accreditation with Commendation

The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) is pleased to announce the achievement of Joint Accreditation with Commendation provider status for our continuing education program.

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., March 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) has been granted six years as a Jointly Accredited Provider with Commendation for its continuing education program. In support of improving patient care, ABQAURP is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Joint Accreditation with Commendation is awarded to providers demonstrating compliance in all joint accreditation criteria, as well as additional criteria to reach commendation status. Joint Accreditation with Commendation validates ABQAURP as a learning organization and change agent for the interprofessional healthcare teams served. It additionally signifies engagement with the environment in support of interprofessional learning and team change that is a part of a system for quality improvement. As such, ABQAURP is jointly accredited to provide continuing education for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals. As part of this accreditation, ABQAURP also jointly provides accredited continuing education activities for eligible organizations. Applications are welcome for the joint providership of single profession (providing AMA PRA credit Category 1 Credit^TM, ANCC credit, and/or ACPE credit) and interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) activities. ABQAURP is committed to providing continuing education to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of health care delivered to patients, improving the overall clinical outcome.

ABQAURP is one of only four providers earning Accreditation with Commendation status in the Fall cohort; only 19% of national Joint Accreditation providers hold this status. As a previous ACCME Accreditation with Commendation provider, joint accreditation expands ABQAURP's continuing education program while indicating continued exceptional quality in educational activities.
