SandRidge (SD) Volatility Rises as Shares Slump

SandRidge Energy (NYSE: SD) is seeing some increased volatility as shares continue to slump Wednesday.

Implied volatility is up 25 percent from Tuesday and 144 percent above the annual average.

SandRidge shares are off 8.4 percent on the session. Volume is heavy on the move today as well.

The move might have something to do with news that by John Arnold of energy hedge fund Centaurus Advisors is said to be retiring.
