Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) Volatility Rises as Shares Slump on Dell's Q1 Results

Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE: HPQ) volatility is elevated in early trade as shares sink on Dell (Nasdaq: DELL) quarterly results.

Implied volatility for HP is up 11 percent from Tuesday's close while shares are about 5 percent lower in early trading.

Investors are likely reacting to Dell's first-quarter numbers, which missed views across the board. For more, click here.

Hewlett-Packard is slated to release Q2 numbers after the market closes Wednesday. The Street currently expects EPS of 91 cents on revs of $29.9 billion, compared with EPS of $1.24 and revs of $31.6 billion reported in the same period last year.
