Green Mountain (GMCR) Volatility Up; Shares Struggle to Hold Above $32 Level

September 11, 2012 3:35 PM EDT
Volatility in Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (Nasdaq: GMCR) shares is higher Tuesday, as the single-serve coffee giant is having trouble surpassing a certain resistance point amid its recent run.

Implied volatility is up 7.7 percent from Monday's close and up about 2 points over its annual average.

Shares are 5.2 percent higher today, but Green Mountain can't seem to hold above the $32 level. The last time shares closed above $32 was in May, ahead of Green Mountain's second-quarter earnings results.
