Frontier (FTR) Active into Q1 Numbers; Shares Hover Around 3-Month Lows

Frontier Communications Corp. (NYSE: FTR) shares are volatile Friday afternoon as shares hang around intraday lows.
Market data shows Frontier implied volatility up 14 percent to 38.3 percent. The number is 137 percent above its annual average. Frontier appears to be bouncing off of $3.85, a level it hasn't traded at since early February.
Frontier is slated to report first-quarter numbers on Monday ahead of the bell. The Street is looking for EPS of 6 cents on revs of $1.26 billion. EPS would be flat with the same period last year.
Shares are down 1.3 percent or so into the last few hours of trading.
It should also be noted that Sprint (NYSE: S) is showing continued volatility as well, as reported earlier.
