Anteros Metals Provides Exploration Updates on Havens Steady and Seagull Projects
Trenching and Channel Sampling Advancing at Havens Steady; Advanced Seismic Inversion Underway at Seagull to Refine Deep Target
St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador--(Newsfile Corp. - September 1, 2026) - Anteros Metals Inc. (CSE: ANT) (the "Company" or "Anteros") is pleased to provide an exploration update on ongoing work at its Havens Steady Polymetallic VMS Project in Newfoundland and Labrador ("Havens Steady") and its Seagull Critical Minerals Project in Ontario ("Seagull").
Havens Steady - Trenching and Channel Sampling Underway
Exploration activities at the Company's 100%-owned Havens Steady property, located in central Newfoundland, are ongoing. Four machine trenches have been completed to date. One trench reached bedrock; the remaining three trenches did not reach bedrock due to overburden depth. Channel sampling of the bedrock exposure is currently underway and samples will be submitted for laboratory analysis. Additional trenching and channel sampling is planned in the coming weeks.
The current program is focused on a high-priority copper-gold-silver target identified during the Company's 2025 field program, where prospecting returned grab sample grades of up to 2.17% copper, 21.3 g/t silver and 0.22 g/t gold from an angular mineralized float boulder located approximately 200 metres northeast of the Main Mineralized Zone (MMZ). Grab samples are selective by nature and may not be representative of mineralization at Havens Steady. Sample assay details, QA/QC procedures and analytical methodology for the 2025 grab sampling results referenced above are available in the Company's news release dated June 16, 2025.
Havens Steady covers a laterally extensive polymetallic zinc-lead-copper-silver-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide ("VMS") system within the Storm Brook Formation of the Red Cross Group in the Exploits Subzone. The angular nature of the mineralized float suggests a nearby bedrock source, which the trenching program is designed in part to test, along with improving the Company's understanding of near-surface mineralization, geological controls and continuity within the Havens Steady VMS system and assisting in defining targets for future exploration and drilling.
Seagull - Deep Seismic Target Refinement
At Seagull, the Company has retained Sisprobe of France to produce an updated seismic inversion model constrained by rock sample data and rock-velocity measurements obtained from deep Seagull drill core. The initial deep low-velocity interpretation previously identified in the May 27, 2026 news release beneath the Seagull mafic-ultramafic intrusion was unconstrained and utilized in the targeting of drill hole WM00-05EXT. The low-velocity feature is a modelled geophysical response reflecting a contrast in rock physical properties. Geophysical anomalies are not necessarily indicative of mineralization. Diamond drill hole WM00-05EXT completed to a depth of 1,449m and intersected the eastern end of the low-velocity interpretation (Figure 1). Geological observations from WM00-05EXT over this target interval, did not contain any observable changes that are attributable to a model which contains a lower seismic velocity interpretation. The Company considers this low velocity seismic feature an important exploration target and further constraining the geophysical inversion with field data beneficial in future deep drill testing during Q4 2026, subject to the results of the updated seismic interpretation and ongoing technical review.

All historical drill holes are shown as white drill traces and provided for context only and unverified by Anteros. Drilling completed by Anteros comprise the extension of historical drill holes WM00-05(EXT) and WM08-27(EXT) and the collaring of RM26-01 as a new hole. Assay results for RM26-01 reported March 13, 2026. Geological interpretation of orthomagmatic PGE Reef and basal mineralization within the Seagull intrusion taken from Technical Report on the Seagull intrusion prepared for the company by G. Heggie, PhD, PGeo, effective June 29, 2026 and filed by Anteros on SEDAR+.

Three hypotheses as to the cause of the deep low-velocity feature are being considered. One geological interpretation is that the low-velocity feature could represent a feeder-dyke environment potentially associated with massive sulphide accumulation beneath the weakly mineralized Seagull mafic-ultramafic intrusion.
An alternative interpretation is that the feature represents an area of damaged rock with porosity and the potential to host accumulated gases similar to the gas encountered locally during recent deep drilling at Seagull.
The final hypothesis is that the velocity low is related to subtle changes to the footwall rock properties which lower the acoustic velocity and result in a modelled low-velocity feature.
The updated Sisprobe inversion is intended to help distinguish and refine these interpretations and improve the Company's understanding of the geometry, scale and character of the deep target prior to making a decision on additional drilling.
Technical observations are taken from the "Technical Report on the Seagull Intrusion Project, Ontario Canada" dated June 29, 2026, with an effective date of June 29, 2026. The technical report was prepared for the Company by Geoff Heggie, PhD, PGeo. The Technical Report has been voluntarily filed under the Company's profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca and has not been filed in connection with a material change or a short-form prospectus.
Upcoming Seagull Site Visit
The Company is also planning a site visit to Seagull to assess current site conditions and make follow-up observations on the drill holes in which gas was previously encountered, including whether gas pressure has re-accumulated following sampling (see the Company's news releases dated March 13, 2026 and May 27, 2026).
These observations, together with the updated seismic inversion work, will form part of the Company's ongoing technical evaluation of the deep Seagull target and its potential for both magmatic sulphide mineralization and naturally occurring hydrogen.
Gas analytical results previously reported by the Company are preliminary, relate only to the samples tested, and should not be interpreted as indicative of gas composition, volume, continuity, source, reservoir characteristics, commercial potential, or future results. See the Company's news release dated May 27, 2026 for gas analytical results and methodology.
Building the Next Phases of Exploration
Anteros continues to advance both projects using targeted field exploration and modern geophysical techniques.
At Havens Steady, the immediate focus remains on exposing, mapping and systematically sampling prospective near-surface mineralization. At Seagull, the Company is integrating deep drilling information, rock-velocity measurements, seismic data and field observations to refine a deep geophysical model ahead of a potential Q4 2026 drill program.
Trumbull Fisher, Chief Executive Officer of Anteros Metals, commented:
"We are pleased with the progress being made across both projects. At Havens Steady, reaching bedrock in the current trenching program provides a basis for continued channel sampling and geological evaluation.
"At Seagull, the integration of our deep drill-core data with Sisprobe's seismic inversion work gives us an opportunity to substantially improve the resolution of the deep low-velocity feature before committing to another deep hole. Whether this feature ultimately relates to a feeder-style magmatic system, a pressurized gas-bearing structure, or another geological source, it represents a compelling target that we intend to systematically evaluate."
