Roth/MKM analyst Tom Hayes initiates coverage on Nlight (NASDAQ: LASR) with a Buy rating and a price target of $44.00.

The analyst comments: "We are initiating coverage on nLIGHT (LASR) with a Buy rating and $44 price target as we see it benefiting from being a pure play directed energy laser provider. We see several forces driving directed energy weapon adoption that will accelerate over the next decade. nLIGHT provides both laser and sensing solutions to prime defense contractors and is positioned to be a technology leader during this investment cycle by defense departments around the globe as countries look to add protection from the growing use of drone and hypersonic weapons."
