Jefferies initiates coverage on TETRA Technologies Inc. (NYSE: TTI) with a Hold. PT $9.00.

The firm comments, "While we believe TTI's fluids segment is well positioned for the upswing in GOM deepwater activity we expect next year, we believe that U.S. onshore completion fluids profitability growth will likely stagnate given the headwinds from peaking margins in the onshore services sector in 2012. Long term, however, we believe the company has bright prospects from international expansions of its various product and service lines, as well as the visibility from accelerated decommissioning activity in the GOM."
