Jefferies analyst Amin Makarem assumes coverage on Cellectis (NASDAQ: CLLS) with a Buy rating and a price target of $7.00 (from $6.00).
The analyst comments: "We believe CLLS is largely overlooked (~$60M EV) amid (-)ve sentiment toward allogeneic CAR-Ts in leukemia and limited later-line oppty. However, we expect 2026 sentiment to shift on key catalysts: (1) lasme-cel 1st interim in r/r ALL pivotal study (4Q26), (2) eti-cel dose escalation ph.I + IL-2 combo in r/r NHL (4Q26), and (3) ALLO’s cema-cel pivotal futility in 1L consolidation LBCL (2Q26) validating CLLS platform.
Lasme-cel (UCART22), targeting CD22 for relapse/refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (r/r B-ALL), has shown encouraging ph.I efficacy -- in the target ph.II pivotal population, the CR/CRi rate was 56%, w/ ~80% of CRs achieving MRD (-)ve. OS among subjects who achieved MRD- CR/CRi was 15mo. Across all pts, mOS was close to ~5mo (our est.), which we expect to improve in future cuts; even as it stands, this is (+)ve given the median of 4 prior lines of tx in this population and mOS of ~7mo in 2L/3L ALL."
