H.C. Wainwright analyst Brandon Folkes initiates coverage on Rein Therapeutics (NASDAQ: RNTX) with a Buy rating and a price target of $10.00.

The analyst comments "We are initiating coverage of Rein Therapeutics with a Buy rating and a price target of $10. We believe the stock has the potential to outperform over the next 12 months given the company’s potential best-in-class pipeline, which will target significant market opportunities which have no or flawed treatments. We expect the biggest single catalyst to be the initial data readout of the Phase 2 trial of LTI-03 in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The company is taking a novel approach to fibrosis, particularly through its lead asset LTI-03, which offers potential best-in-class differentiation. IPF represents a multi billion-dollar market with significant unmet need, and while investor sentiment remains cautious due to historical failures in the space, this conservatism has created a disconnect between RNTX valuation and potential, in our view. The current market capitalization of ~$27M fails to reflect the strong mechanistic rationale, early clinical data, and significant upcoming catalysts for LTI-03, most notably the initial readout from the Phase 2 RENEW trial expected in 2026. The company has reiterated it will present initial RENEW data in 2026, which we believe is driven by ex-U.S. patient enrollment."
