Goldman Sachs initiates coverage on Allison Transmission (NYSE: ALSN) with a Neutral. PT $25.00.
The firm calls ALSN "an intriguing value story with a dominant market position, sustainable, best-in-class margins, priced at a 13% free cash flow yield." That said, they see a mixed cyclical outlook as North America trucker returns and capex are now at mid-cycle and lead times have contracted. Also military vehicle demand is in the early stages of a sharp multi-year downturn and the the US pressure pumping industry faces near-term over-supply.
