bebe (BEBE) Rips Higher on Strong Q4 Comps

bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq: BEBE), is surging higher this morning, following strong sales numbers from the Brisbane, CA-based retailer.
Sales in fourth-quarter rose 7.3 percent to $122.4 million. Comparable-store sales jumped 7 percent, reversing a 3 percent decline in June 2010.
Most significantly, year-to-date comps came in at a modest 0.4 percent increase, compared with a drop of 17.1 percent over the same period last year.
bebe currently sees fourth-quarter earnings of 1 to 4 cents per share, right in-line with consensus views calling for 3 cents per share.
Finally, bebe said that in FY12, comps will not be inclusive of its on-line store.
Investors smell a turnaround and shares are up 13.4 percent on the session.
