U.S. Stocks Follow World Stocks Higher
Following the long Memorial Day weekend, U.S. stocks opened higher.
With less than an hour left in the morning session, the Dow Jones is up 64 points, the S&P 500 is up nearly 7 and the Nasdaq is up nearly 16 points.
U.S. stocks are following world stocks higher.
In Asia, the Nikkei and Hang Seng rose 2%. In Europe, the FTSE is up 1% and the DAX is up 2%. Upside in Japan was driven by expectation for stronger industrial output and a weaker yen. Hopes for a resolution for debt-laden Greece helped in Europe.
