U.S. Stocks Flattened By Overseas Concerns
After opening lower on worries overseas, weakness in U.S. stocks has accelerated with the Dow down by over 200 point to the key 11,000 level.
Weakness in Europe, related to debt contagion fears with Ireland near default, and in Asia, with China potentially tightening to curb inflation, has spilled over to the U.S. with investors taking risk off the table.
At noon, the Dow is down 201 points to 11,001, Nasdaq is down 45 and the S&P 500 is down 21 to 1,177.
Commodities are also lower, with Gold down $34 to $1334, and crude down $2.20 to $82.66.
