- FOMC: Philly Fed President Plosser will discuss the economic outlook at the Public Policy Luncheon hosted by Women in Housing & Finance Inc in Washington (12:30
- EDT). Separately, New York Fed President Dudley gives a speech titled "The National Economy and Framework Choices for Future Monetary Policy Implementation" at an event hosted by the New York Association for Business Economics (13:00 EDT).
- ECB Governing Council member Liikanen hosts a debate on Thomas Piketty's book “Capital in the 21st Century” in the Bank of Finland Museum in Helsinki (10:30 EDT).
- US weekly chain store sales: Warmer temperatures and aggressive promotions have helped trigger sales of seasonal goods. We also expect the Memorial Day holiday to boost sales.
