Dow, S&P 500 Pare Some Gains
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and Nasdaq pared gains Tuesday afternoon. The indexes surged on the market open after China's President Xi Jinping promised to open the economy further and lower import tariffs on some products.
The spat of weakness began heading into noon following headlines related to an FBI raid on Trump's lawyer's office, which added color to yesterday's story. The latest headlines suggested Rod Rosenstein personally approved the raid.
