Zynga (ZNGA) Loses Yet Another Key Executive

August 29, 2012 8:05 AM EDT
The executive exodus at Zynga, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZNGA) continues at mind-blowing speeds.

Today, AllThingsD reported that Chief Creative Officer Mike Verdu is leaving to start his own game company. All is not lost, however, as Zynga will reportedly be an investor in his new start-up.

Verdu's exit follows the exit of COO John Schappert; general manager of CityVille Alan Patmore; Erik Bethke, a general manager who oversaw Mafia Wars 2; Ya-Bing Chu, a VP in Zynga’s mobile division; and Jeremy Strauser, a general manager.

Shares of Zynga are skidding off lows near $3 per share, or 70 percent below the December 2011 IPO price. Not surprisingly, morale at the company is said to be at all times lows.
