ZettaJoule names Kian Granmayeh as chief financial officer

ZettaJoule Inc., a Houston-based nuclear energy company, has appointed Kian Granmayeh as its Chief Financial Officer, according to a company statement.

Granmayeh brings more than 17 years of energy finance experience to the role. He previously served as CFO of Tellurian Inc., a U.S. liquefied natural gas developer, where he led project financing efforts for a multibillion-dollar LNG export project and executed more than $1.4 billion in corporate-level capital markets transactions.

He also served as Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of Carriage Services Inc. (NYSE: CSV). Earlier in his career, Granmayeh worked as an investment banker in Lazard's Energy Banking Group, advising on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and private placements. He also held roles in financial planning and investor relations at Apache Corporation.

"As we move toward commercial deployment and prepare ZettaJoule for its next stage of growth, we need to build not only a strong technology and project organization, but also a strong financial foundation," said Mitsuo Shimofuji, Co-Founder, President and CEO of ZettaJoule.

Granmayeh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Behavior from Columbia University and an MBA from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Management.
