Zentek names Mohammed Jiwan as chief executive officer

Zentek Ltd. (NASDAQ: ZTEK) (TSX-V: ZEN) announced the appointment of Mohammed Jiwan as chief executive officer and director, effective December 1, 2025.



Jiwan brings over 20 years of experience in operational and capital markets leadership across public companies and high-growth ventures in technology, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. The company stated he has experience in securing equity, debt, and growth capital investments and has led public company transactions.



"Today's announcement is more than a leadership transition; it marks the beginning of a disciplined transformation of our Company," said John Snisarenko, chair of Zentek's board.



Jiwan commented on his appointment: "I am honored and proud to lead the Zentek team and help unlock the value of the compelling opportunities we have before us."



The company thanked Wendy Ford, who served as interim CEO and chief financial officer during the transition period. Ford will continue in her role as chief financial officer.



Zentek also announced it granted stock options to acquire 475,000 common shares at $1.06 per share for three years to officers, directors, and consultants, along with 425,000 restricted share units vesting on December 1, 2026. The options vest in thirds over two years for officers and directors.



Zentek is an ISO 13485:2016 certified technology company focused on developing products for commercial partners. The company's ZenGUARD technology platform targets viral filtration applications for surgical masks and HVAC systems, with production facilities located in Guelph, Ontario.
