World Copper announces CEO departure and board resignation
World Copper Ltd. (TSXV: WCU) (OTCQB: WCUFF) (FSE: 7LY0) announced that Gordon Neal has departed as President and CEO, with the company currently searching for an interim replacement. The Vancouver-based resource company also disclosed the resignation of Timothy McCutcheon from its board of directors.
Chairman Hendrik van Alphen acknowledged the departures in a statement, noting both individuals contributed to the recent completion of the Zonia Project sale to Edge Copper. The transaction was described as beneficial to shareholders, according to the press release.
The company has not provided specific reasons for the leadership changes or a timeline for appointing new management. World Copper operates as a Canadian resource company focused on mineral exploration and development activities.
The announcement comes following the completion of the Zonia Project divestiture, though the company has not disclosed financial details of that transaction. World Copper's shares trade on multiple exchanges including the TSX Venture Exchange, OTCQB market, and Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
