Woodward (NASDAQ: WWD) announced the appointment of Paxton McVoy as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, effective Oct. 19, 2026, according to a company statement. McVoy will join Woodward's Executive Leadership Team and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Chip Blankenship.
The CIO role is newly created at the Fort Collins, Colorado-based company. McVoy will oversee Woodward's global information technology organization and direct its digital strategy, covering enterprise resource planning, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and technology-enabled business transformation.
McVoy joins Woodward from Veralto, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Following Veralto's separation from Danaher, he led the new public company's global technology strategy and operations. His responsibilities at Veralto included enterprise technology, cybersecurity, data and AI, infrastructure, procurement, and oversight of an ERP portfolio across 13 operating companies.
Prior to Veralto, McVoy held senior IT leadership roles at Medtronic, including Vice President and CIO for its Surgical Innovations business, where he also led the company's transition from Oracle to SAP.
"Paxton has a proven history of using technology to improve business performance and leading digital transformation across complex global organizations like ours," said Blankenship.
McVoy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Otterbein University and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
