WELL Health names Evelyn Sutherland as CFO, effective Sept. 21
WELL Health Technologies Corp. (TSX: WELL, OTCQX: WHTCF) announced the appointment of Evelyn Sutherland as Chief Financial Officer, effective September 21, 2026, replacing Eva Fong, who will move to an Executive Advisor role.
Sutherland brings more than 20 years of senior financial leadership experience, having previously served as CFO at Staples Canada, Enercare Inc., KEYreit, and United Purchasing Group of Canada, which operates under the Yum! Brands umbrella. She has overseen more than 50 acquisitions and divestitures throughout her career and holds a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
Sutherland has served on the board of WELL's subsidiary, WELLSTAR Technologies Corp., for the past year, including through its go-public process.
Fong, who has served as CFO since WELL's early-stage period, is credited with building the company's financial reporting infrastructure, internal controls, and treasury functions through a period of significant acquisition activity. Her transition to Executive Advisor is intended to support an orderly handover.
WELL Health founder and CEO Hamed Shahbazi said Sutherland's "capital markets, M&A and governance expertise" makes her qualified to support the company's continued growth strategy. Sutherland said she looks forward to "disciplined capital allocation and creating long-term value for shareholders."
WELL Health operates 275 clinics across Canada, supporting more than five million annual patient visits, according to the company's press release.
