W. R. Berkley names DeLauder president of Berkley Environmental unit

W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE: WRB) appointed R. Christopher DeLauder as president of Berkley Environmental, effective immediately. Kenneth J. Berger, who previously held the position, was named chair of the business unit.



DeLauder brings nearly 40 years of insurance industry experience, with focus on the environmental sector. He joined Berkley Environmental as vice president in 2010 and most recently served as executive vice president. Berger will support the team during the transition and remain engaged in other company initiatives.

"He has been instrumental in building Berkley Environmental into one of the most successful parts of our group today."
