Visionary Copper and Gold Mines Inc. (TSXV: VCG) (OTCQB: VCGMF) has appointed Jason Flight, P.Geo., as Vice President of Exploration, according to a company statement.

Flight joins from Galway Metals Inc., where he held the same title. He brings more than 15 years of exploration and mine-site experience, including time working underground at Rambler Metals & Mining's Ming Mine, a volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit in Newfoundland's Baie Verte district.

His career includes roles at Barrick Gold, Osisko Metals, Maritime Resources Corp., and New Found Gold Corp. At Maritime Resources, he contributed to exploration programs that advanced the Hammerdown Mine through feasibility-level studies, preceding Maritime's acquisition by New Found Gold Corp. in a transaction valued at approximately C$292 million.

Flight holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Earth Sciences from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a registered Professional Geoscientist.

The company's Phase 2 drilling program at its Point Leamington VMS deposit in central Newfoundland will target resource conversion, resource expansion, evaluation of the newly identified Kraken Zone, and new discovery. In connection with his appointment, Flight will receive incentive stock options subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.

Visionary also announced a one-month consulting agreement with X Media Inc. SEZC for investor outreach and market awareness services, for a one-time fee of US$50,000, subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance.

Additionally, the company granted 160,000 stock options to an officer and a consultant, exercisable at $1.25 per common share, vesting 25% every three months over 12 months, and expiring five years from the date of grant.
