Veolia names Nadège Petit as North America CEO effective December 2025

Veolia (Paris: VIE) announced the appointment of Nadège Petit as CEO of its North America Zone, effective December 1, 2025. Petit will join the company's executive committee as part of this role.

The appointment supports Veolia's expansion plans in the United States, which the company identifies as one of its key geographic markets. Veolia operates as the largest private water sector operator and technology provider in the U.S., and leads in hazardous waste and pollution treatment services.

Petit brings over 20 years of experience from Schneider Electric, where she held various leadership positions across Europe, Hong Kong, and the United States. From 2021 to 2025, she served as Chief Innovation Officer and was a member of the Global Executive Committee. Previously, she was Executive Vice President of the Power Products division, managing the global low-voltage power business.

She currently serves on the Supervisory Board of E.ON SE and is a member of its Innovation and Sustainability Committee. Petit holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Technology of Compiègne in France and completed an Executive MBA at Kingston University in London in 2014.

"North America is a cornerstone of Veolia's global growth strategy and I'm happy that we can reinforce our leadership team at this pivotal moment of acceleration of our activities," said Estelle Brachlianoff, Chief Executive Officer of Veolia.

The appointment aligns with Veolia's GreenUp strategic program. The company has established its North American position through organic growth and the integration of Suez operations in recent years.

Veolia operates across five continents with 215,000 employees and reported consolidated revenue of €44.7 billion in 2024, according to the company statement.
