Vector Science appoints Darryl Drake Jr. as president of new sports division

Vector Science & Therapeutics Corp. (TSXV: PAIN) appointed Darryl Drake Jr. as President of Valor and Chairman of the Athletic Board of Directors, the company announced June 8.

Valor represents a newly formed sports medicine division within Vector, designed to develop relationships with professional and elite athletes while building commercial infrastructure for the company's transdermal peptide delivery platform.

Drake will oversee market development efforts, initially promoting Vector's pharmaceutical-grade peptides manufactured under cGMP standards in an FDA-licensed facility in Mequon, Wisconsin. The division plans to establish a network of sports medicine clinicians, trainers, and elite athlete advocates before the commercial launch of Valor's transdermal delivery platform.

The company stated Drake brings more than a decade of leadership experience building commercial teams across multiple countries, with a track record managing relationships with athlete influencers and multimedia platforms. Drake previously served as an early investor in Vector and has been part of teams responsible for more than $150 million in sales.

"Athletes deserve better than systemic pain management and extended recovery timelines. Valor exists to change that, with precision delivery, targeted tissue repair, and solutions built for the way athletes actually heal," Drake said in the announcement.

Vector CEO Bill Jackson said Drake "has the relationships, the track record, and the personal conviction this role demands."

The division focuses on Vector's pharmaceutical-grade peptides, tested for safety, purity, and potency. Valor aims to integrate Vector's peptide science with delivery platforms to provide alternatives to systemic pain medicines, including opiates, for tissue repair, recovery, and pain mitigation.

Vector Science & Therapeutics develops biomechanical devices and drug delivery platforms for site-directed medical interventions.
