Valero names Homer Bhullar as new CFO, effective January 2026

Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE: VLO) announced that Homer Bhullar will become Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on January 1, 2026, succeeding Jason Fraser who will retire from the CFO position on December 31, 2025.



Bhullar currently serves as Vice President-Investor Relations and Finance, a position he has held since April 29, 2021. He joined Valero in 2014 and previously worked as an investment banker focused on the energy sector at J.P. Morgan and Citigroup. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and an MBA with a focus on investment management and energy finance from the University of Texas at Austin.



Fraser will remain as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer through December 31, 2025, and will retire as an employee in the first quarter of 2026. Fraser has worked at Valero for over 25 years, joining the company in 1999 and serving as General Counsel before becoming CFO.



"While we are certainly sad to see Jason retire, we are also extremely excited to have Homer move into the CFO role, and are confident in his ability to help Valero execute on its strategic objectives and ensure its continued financial strength," said R. Lane Riggs, Valero's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President.



In his current role, Bhullar oversees Valero's investor relations and finance functions, strategic communications, public relations, advertising, and community engagement. He previously served as Vice President Investor Relations and Vice President Business Development at Valero.



Valero operates 15 petroleum refineries in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom with a combined throughput capacity of approximately 3.2 million barrels per day.
