Valens Semiconductor names Yoram Salinger as new CEO

Valens Semiconductor (NYSE: VLN) announced the appointment of Yoram Salinger as chief executive officer and board member, effective November 13, 2025. Salinger will succeed Gideon Ben-Zvi, who led the company since 2020 and will remain on the board of directors.

Salinger brings over 25 years of leadership experience in global technology companies. He most recently served as CEO of cybersecurity company Perception Point, leading the company through revenue growth before its acquisition by Fortinet in 2024. Previously, as CEO of Red-Bend Software, he built the company into a provider of mobile and automotive software management with technology embedded in over two billion devices, leading to its acquisition by Harman International.

Dr. Peter Mertens, chairman of Valens' board of directors, said Salinger brings experience leading high-tech companies to growth and profitability. Under Ben-Zvi's leadership, Valens went public on the New York Stock Exchange, achieved design wins with car manufacturers, and established a Cross Industry Business segment.

Ben-Zvi stated that Valens has posted revenue growth in five consecutive quarters. Salinger said he was drawn to Valens because of its technology foundation and industry partnerships, noting the company has leveraged its position in professional audio-video into automotive, industrial and medical markets.

The company also announced board changes, with Dr. Eyal Kishon and Dror Jerushalmi stepping down, following the recent addition of Igal Rotem.

Valens Semiconductor develops connectivity chipsets for audio-video installations, videoconferencing, and automotive applications. The company is based in Hod Hasharon, Israel.
