UPS (NYSE: UPS) announced a series of executive leadership changes and a new global operating model, both set to take effect September 1, 2026.
Kate Gutmann, Executive Vice President and President of International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions, will retire after nearly 37 years with the company. She will continue as a strategic advisor through March 2027. Gutmann will be succeeded by Wilfredo Ramos, who currently leads UPS's Asia Pacific and Brokerage businesses and has been with the company for more than 20 years. Ramos will take the title of Executive Vice President and Chief International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions Officer.
UPS also announced structural changes tied to what it described as the completion of its Amazon volume glide-down and network reconfiguration in June 2026. The company said it will transition to a global operating model intended to standardize operational processes across geographies while retaining flexibility for local markets.
As part of that shift, Nando Cesarone has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Global Operations Officer, with oversight of UPS's global air network, surface transportation, and related functions. Matt Guffey has been named Executive Vice President and Chief U.S. Domestic Officer, responsible for U.S. businesses including Small Package, Roadie, Happy Returns, The UPS Stores, and Mail Innovations.
UPS is also creating a new role of Executive Vice President and Chief Global Commercial Strategy Officer, covering global strategy, marketing, product management, and pricing. The company said a search is underway to fill that position.
Effective September 1, 2026, eight executives will report directly to CEO Carol Tomé, including Chief Financial Officer Brian Dykes, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer Norm Brothers, Chief Human Resources Officer Darrell Ford, and Chief Digital and Technology Officer Bala Subramanian.
UPS reported 2025 revenue of $88.7 billion and operates in more than 200 countries and territories.
