Toogood Gold names Lee Hess as exploration vice president
Toogood Gold Corp. (TSXV: TGC) (OTCQB: TGGCF) (FSE: D3P) announced the appointment of Lee Hess as Vice President, Exploration. The Vancouver-based exploration company made the announcement April 7.
Hess will lead exploration strategy, geological modeling and target generation, focusing on defining drill targets at the Table Mountain Project in Nevada and advancing exploration at the Toogood Gold Project in Newfoundland. Jo Price will transition from Vice President, Exploration to an advisory role.
Hess brings 15 years of experience in structurally controlled gold systems across North and South America. He most recently served as Senior Geologist, Global Project Generation with SSR Mining Inc., where he led exploration and technical due diligence initiatives across Canada, the United States and Argentina.
At SSR, Hess advanced multiple greenfield concessions to drill-ready status in Nevada and completed mapping campaigns at the Marigold Mine complex. He also managed exploration for epithermal systems in Argentina and orogenic deposits in Saskatchewan.
Hess holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focused on structural geology and tectonics.
The company intends to grant Hess 250,000 stock options exercisable at CAD $0.11 for five years and 150,000 restricted share units, subject to vesting requirements. The grants and appointment require TSX Venture Exchange approval.
Toogood Gold focuses on gold discovery in tier-one mining jurisdictions, with projects including the Table Mountain Project in Nevada and the Toogood Gold Project in Newfoundland.
