Tokenwell Platforms names Arif Shivji as chief financial officer
Tokenwell Platforms Inc. (CSE: TWEL) (OTCQB: TWELF) (FSE: Y920) appointed Arif Shivji as chief financial officer, effective immediately, according to a company statement.
Shivji is a chartered professional accountant in British Columbia and Alberta, a U.S. CPA in Illinois, and holds a CFA designation. He completed his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business and recently finished the NACD Directorship Certification program.
The new CFO previously worked as manager of transaction services at PwC Advisory, conducting buy-side due diligence on acquisitions across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He has provided fractional CFO services to private and public companies across cryptocurrency, petroleum, mining, and technology sectors on the CSE, TSX, and OTC markets.
Shivji founded and served as CFO of Predator Midstream, which grew to approximately 90 employees within 18 months before its sale to Secure Energy. He has experience in capital markets transactions, including forming two capital pool companies on the TSX and a junior mining initial public offering on the CSE.
"His experience with public company reporting and capital markets will be critical as we advance our B2B and institutional strategy and continue to build our business," said Timothy J. Burgess, chief executive officer of Tokenwell.
The company expects to grant Shivji 1,100,000 stock options under its stock option plan, subject to board approval and regulatory authorization.
Tokenwell operates a cryptocurrency platform that provides digital asset services to users and businesses.
