THOR Industries Inc. (NYSE: THO) promoted Ryan Biren to chief information officer, creating a new executive officer position focused on data and artificial intelligence strategies.
Biren joined THOR in February 2024 as vice president of corporate development, where he developed data platforms used by the company. He previously served as senior vice president at Camping World Holdings.
As CIO, Biren will oversee North American IT operations, data analytics, IT controls, and digital platform strategy. The role encompasses scaling AI-enabled analytics across brands and regions, advancing predictive market intelligence capabilities, and expanding digital dealer and customer experiences.
"Data, analytics and AI are central to the next era of value creation at THOR," said Bob Martin, president and chief executive officer. "Elevating the CIO role to the executive leadership team reflects how seriously we are investing in these capabilities."
Under Biren's previous role, THOR built an enterprise data platform serving all operating companies, including European operations. The platform enhanced enterprise visibility and enabled advanced analytics across sales, operations, market intelligence and customer engagement.
The company plans to create a unified dealer portal designed to simplify connectivity and improve dealer experience while maintaining the autonomy of its decentralized operating model. Operating company IT leaders will functionally report to the CIO to harmonize enterprise standards and strengthen interoperability.
"Our objective is simple but powerful: enable THOR companies to be stronger partners to our independent dealers and deliver the right products to consumers," said Todd Woelfer, chief operating officer.
THOR Industries manufactures recreational vehicles and operates as the parent company of multiple RV manufacturing subsidiaries worldwide.
