Sylogist names Joel Leetzow as chief executive officer

Sylogist Ltd. (TSX: SYZ) announced that Joel Leetzow has been appointed as the company's new chief executive officer, effective immediately. The Calgary-based public sector software company made the announcement as part of a leadership transition.

Leetzow brings more than 35 years of experience in software and technology leadership roles across public and private markets. He previously served as president of Aware360, a workplace safety technology company, where he implemented growth strategies that increased revenue expansion across the customer base.

Before Aware360, Leetzow served as president, chief executive officer and director of Cortex Business Solutions Inc., a Calgary-based public company that traded on the TSX Venture Exchange. During his tenure at Cortex, he led the company's transformation into a software-as-a-service platform, increasing enterprise value by more than 4.5 times until its sale in 2019.

"I'm excited to join Sylogist at this important time in the Company's evolution," Leetzow said. "Sylogist has a strong foundation, a talented team and deeply embedded customer relationships across the public sector."

Errol Olsen, chair of Sylogist's board of directors, said the appointment followed a thorough search process. The board also thanked Craig O'Neill for his contributions as interim president and chief executive officer since his appointment in January 2026.

Sylogist provides software-as-a-service solutions to government, nonprofit and education organizations globally. The company's shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol SYZ.
