Sun Communities Inc. (NYSE: SUI) announced Fernando Castro-Caratini has assumed the role of chief financial officer on an interim basis, effective immediately following the departure of Mark E. Patten.

Castro-Caratini joined Sun Communities in 2016 and had been serving as a senior advisor to the company. He previously held the CFO position at the real estate investment trust, which owns and operates manufactured housing and recreational vehicle communities.

The company stated that Patten's departure was a mutual decision and was not the result of any disagreements related to financial policies, accounting principles, practices, or financial statements and disclosures. Sun Communities is conducting a search to identify a permanent CFO.

The Southfield, Michigan-based REIT reaffirmed its 2025 guidance ranges provided in its third quarter 2025 earnings release on October 29, 2025. The company plans to release fourth quarter 2025 operating results after market close on February 24, 2026, followed by a conference call on February 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET to discuss the results.
